20+ Hilarious Sci-Fi Memes to Fill Your Nerdy Needs (November 6, 2023)

One of my favorite films of all time, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, is a parody of some of the 20th century's most rotten, forgotten, low-budget science fiction movies. From cheesy practical effects to an often untraceable plot, to a creature with whims of its own, Rocky has all the elements of the best sci-fi B movies. Plus, it has a soundtrack that will get stuck in your head for ages. I try and attend a Rocky Horror shadow cast every year (where they act out the movie in front of the screen). It's great fun watching, yelling along, and seeing all the actors' homemade costumes.

It's also awesome to celebrate a movie in spite of, or even because of its glaring flaws. There are so many beloved sci-fi movies with huge plot holes, unbelievable situations, and shoddy craftsmanship. But we love them anyway. This meme list is a celebration of that.
